He has been acting up at school and when his parents asked him why he said that he did because he felt that his dad loved me more than him. My boyfriend reassured him that that would never happen, but it breaks my heart that he feels that way. My boyfriend has him on the weekends and I'm concerned that I won't be able to spend anytime with both of them, now that I know that his son is so sensitive to our relationship. I don't know what to do.

Well he's a kid, i was in that place once and we eithier get over it, or not.But as the adult in the relationship, the most you can do is, make him comfortable around you, explain to him , while showing him just how you feel about him and he's dad.If you feel like your relationship with his dad is serious extremely then making him understand might want to be your first concern. Cause hear ing from he's dad as while as you side by side in the both room, helps, makes him feel grown up , at the same time helping him to understand. and be sneaky about it, kids are always smater then us alduts think, don't let him think your try to fool him.One last thing, If some kids don't get half the things adults do no matter how smater they are. What i'm saying is,His parents aren't together.and your with his dad, if all they got is weekend, slowly invite your self in cause quick change of atmosphere could cause a child to think that way.Good luck...

babe you need to get them all into counseling or run for the hills. the boy is using you as an excuse, and as long as everyone in his life accepts this you are screwed. they are turning him into a manipulator just by allowing this, and it will only get worse as he sees that it is working.

good luck
