my sister is getting married at the end of the year and she has chosen me as her maid of honor, but I am a little concern on what type of dress would fit my body type best I am about 5' 170 pounds and I tend to be a little heavier on my stomach any suggestions or maybe a website that I can check out??

My wedding is next spring & I have started planning it & I have found quite a few cute dresses on these sites so you might want to try these. And since you said that you are a little on the heavy side I would try something halter & short or medium in length. Nothing poofy or real long & some nice heels to make you look taller. I hope this helps! Good Luck :)

I think Watters and Watters make great dresses. (www.watters.com) I got married a few months ago and my maid of honor loved her dress. It was a 2 piece and provided nice coverage around the tummy area (and didn't ride up once with dancing began!) When we were shopping, she tried on sooo many dresses. We thought one style would look great, but when it was on, we weren't that thrilled with it. So I definitely think just try on...try on...and try on some more. You'll find it! Good luck and have fun!

u r definitely going to need a girdle, like a corset to suck in the gut some, but check davids bridal, they have really nice stuff for less.

go to davidsbridal.com and look at their empire waisted dresses...anything with a empire style waist will make you look slimmer
