Scrabble or Monopoly?

Although there are more interesting word games and acquisition races out there, I find myself playing more Scrabble than Monopoly. Nobody with whom i played games plays either game so I play them on computer. Scrabble is a more satisfying game on computer than is Monopoly.

Scrabble is much better for a quick game. Monopoly takes too long and its hard to find enough players. also, when those players get knocked out early.... the rest of the evening sucks for them.

monopoly because you can pay it at any age. plus there are so many different versions. whereas scrabble is always scrabble. plus scrabble has to much spelling to much math adding up the points, games are supposed to take your mind off those kind of things.

Monopoly is fun the first hour or so, but it takes so darn long, we usually end up abandoning the game...

I would say monopoly. Mainly because they have different settings like Disney monopoly, Mustang monopoly, the original monopoly, etc... Scrabble is to plain for me. I need movement so I prefer monopoly.

I'm just not into word games, I'll have to go with Monopoly although I agree with it's criticisms as well: it's very luck driven, you need 4 or more to have an interesting game and it takes too long, especially when everyone pretty much already knows who the winner will be.
