I must agree with you about Lysol and bleach being crucial, they are ever-present at my house. There are a few other things that I constantly keep stocked for cleaning. The Fresh Brush toilet cleaning brush is something I hope they never stop making. I love the fact that once you are done with the cleaning pads you just flush them, which makes me feel that I am keeping an even cleaner bathroom (versus hanging on to the same toilet brush). I also use Scrubbing Bubbles flushable bathroom wipes for touch-ups in between hard cleanings.
As far as the rest of the house goes, about 2 months ago I started using the Swiffer dusters. I adore this product, and it has replaced my ostrich feather duster. Finding an effective duster was a long process. Ostrich feathers were the most effective at trapping dust as far as a permanent item, and the Swiffer duster has cloths that you trash after they are used. Although I use the Swiffer, I still hang on to my other duster just in case. Oh, and we mustn't forget Murphy's Oil Soap. There is a bunch of woodwork in our house, and the oil soap has a great (and distinguishable) scent and is terribly effective. When it comes to the kitchen and bathrooms, I bounce from cleaner to cleaner (I won't list them all, because there are quite a few) but like yourself bleach and Lysol are a staple. For the sinks, though, I must mention Clorox bathroom cleaner with Teflon. I use it on the bathroom and kitchen sink. The Teflon really does protect the surface, repelling stains, toothpaste, etc. for quite some time. I would love to try it on the tub, but feel it would be kind of dangerous, lol....it leaves everything sparkling clean and shiny.
Take care and have a good day! :)

After I clean, I keep air fresh by using these incredible little carbon odor absorbers called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with a carbon filter inside. I started using it in my fridge and wow, does it work great. The package said it's also good for other areas, so now I love it in places like under my sinks and near trash cans. I have friends that also think its fantastic near diaper pails and even cat litter boxes. It really, really works and without messy sprays and so much better than some other product. Worth trying - you'll be hooked too. You can find FRIDGE IT in kitchen gadget sections of stores like Walmart and Linens and things. Also, pretty sure, other stores too.

I use a product called odo ban. Works pretty well. I definitely agree with the suggestion of using activated carbon and a product called Fridge - IT. I use these little purple cubes all around my house and I really think they are great for keeping places fresh without fragrances and sprays. I also recommend this product as part of a cleaning program.

I am in the cleaning business and here is our secret!
Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out….hope this helps…Steve

i love arm and hammer fresh shower spray- smells good and i don't have to scrub off shower scum!!! next in line would be home remedies like boiling a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in a cup of water in the microwave to soften stuck on gunk to where you can just wipe it out or a piece of bread to pick up those tiny shards of glass thats always left after you sweep up every piece you can find- "mop" up the area with a piece of bread and you won't find a small shard with your toe a week later! or what about cleaning sterling silver with white toothpaste? yeah- home remedies are the best!

For bathrooms and kitchens: Bleach, a squirt bottle, and an old toothbrush (for tight areas).
For windows: Vinegar and newspapers...better than windex.
Dusting: Damp sponge...I don't like pledge, it's too...greasy.

The new fragrances of Pine Sol. I use it everywhere. A little afriad of bleach. I used to use it but I dripped some on the carpet. Too risky.
