Yesterday was a sad day for MLB. I was really hoping that the Giants and Barry would not reach a deal....leavig Barry without a team to play on during the upcoming season. Now that he has a deal in place, I am all most certain that he will break the record shortly after the All Star break. =( What a shame, MLB needs to step in and prevent this trajedy!

You have got to hope that the other teams in the league never give him the chance, that no matter the outcome they always pitch around him. It would be a sin for him to break Hank's record bad enough they let him break the Babe's. He should be run out of baseball faster then you can say "Pete Rose"

He might not be able to break it by the seasons end, if he keeps breaking down.
He will eventually break it though, says he will play till he is 100 in an interview the other day.
How many people will be celebrating outside of San Fran when he does break the record?

Will it even matter with the steroid scandal hanging over his head.. The only place it might matter is in S.F. I like Bonds..but he will have the same problems as McGuire.. He won't make the Hall of Fame until I'm too old to care.

I hope he breaks his leg in spring training and never gets to take another at bat. Or if he does get to the regular season that pitchers just throw at him every time he comes to bat.

Even if he does, he won't atleast in my eyes. He cheated to get to where he is. If he does and MLB continues to allow this, that will be a sad day in MLB.
