if you read the Bible, I hate to say it but it does in fact say that homosexuality is a sin, it is not a Catholic Bible but is in fact the Christian Bible. It is a tough decision, but based one their faith if the child is in the care of the Catholics then they should have the right to say that it is against their values to do this. If the couple wants to adopt they need to go to a non religious based agency.

What can i say? This will be a battle forever in the Catholic religion, personally, I am all for it I think we should embrace it more, at the end of the day, there are far too many unwanted, abused , unhappy children out there that are raised by straight couples, where is it written that a same sex couple can't bring up children, at the end of the day it's not written that it's ok for Catholic priests to have sexual relations with children/men but they do.
Children need to be loved, wanted, cared for and protected, it's not alot to ask for is it? Anyone of us is capable of that man or woman!!

Whether you like it or not this country is still, constitutionally, a Christian country with the Queen as head of the church. Protestant, not Catholic. They are being told to go against their religious beliefs. It may not be right but it is what they believe. Bet the government wouldn't dare to tell the leaders of a Mosque how to interpret their religion.

Once again we are having homosexuality forced on us as being normal. We are all born with certain organs that perform certain functions. and the Anus is for body waste to come out, not for a penis to be put up it! But while there are so many homosexuals MP's or friends of, influencing the government we will keep getting these laws, made against decency. this is partly why alot of young Muslims are turning to radical Islam. And who can blame them!
I used to laugh when I heard people say we are living in a police state, But now I realise what they meant!

I think under no circumstances should gays be allowed to adopt children and if possible have no contact with minor children to keep them from influencing the children.
That their lifestyle choice is an abomination and their actions are against the laws of God and of nature.

Well, you have to look at the facts. God came up with the church, so man can not choose what we believe, God does. God see's homosexuality as a sin. Giving kids to homosexual parents would be the same as giving kids to a alcoholic/greedy or any other sinful parents. Do we all sin and are not perfect, of course! But that doesn't make it ok to live in it and not try to change. So no, the church will never accept homosexuality as ok. But the church is justified. Church is seperate from the state. Also, chruch came up with marriage, not state.

I think that adoption should be based on the individual characters and providing capabilities of individual people involved, not in sexual preference or religion. Where do some people get off . . .

For once I agree with the Catholic Church on this one. The Muslims have got the right idea, too.
It is just another symptom of the rotten, stinking state our country has sunk to, when we are prepared to hand over innocent children to perverts.
I am actually starting to find that I have many things in common with Islam..
