CIH copies itself into .exe's and .dlls and it cannot be removed because the virus mutates constantly. In the end I had to scan the computer 5 times to get rid of it b/c it kept infecting Norton, or it would copy itself to a scanned file after Norton passed over it. In the end I had to reformat Windows because it took over half of the important Windows libraries with it. CIH can also copy itself to the master boot record, meaning a regular reformat will not take care of it.
