If I rip a CD to my computer's hard drive and sync the songs to my iPod, can I delete the songs from my hard drive to save memory or do I have to keep them on the computer?

Technically you are able to delete the songs from your computer after synching them, but if something happens to your ipod or it breaks or falls down or you have to reformat it (which often happens) then all of your music is gone! If you are out of hard drive space I would suggest backing up your songs to a CD or postable hard drive/memory stick.

I hope this helps

No, you have to keep the songs in your itunes library or else every time you sync your ipod you will have no music to sync to it (unless you choose to manually update, which is a pain).
