After you have missed your period. There are tests that claim to be able to test before your missed period, but those are not always accurate. Just wait until a day or two after you were supposed to start.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

Ok it should be 12 - 14 days after ovulation. If your luteul phase (time between ovulation and period) is ten or less you should go and check it out with your doctor..i dont want to worry you as everything may be ok but it should be more than ten days to allow the egg to implant and begin to develop otherwise af could come and kind of ''flush'' it away..yours is dead on ten so that could be ok just get it checked out as if there is a problem they can help you straight away instead of you trying for months or years and then finding out..

Pregnancy test can check up to 4 days before the day of your due period. But they are not 100% accurate then think about 50%. But most say they are 99% accurate on the day or the day after the day of your due period.

Hope this helps chick x

they say wait a week do a test if its negative then do another one in another week if there is still no sign of your period.
But remember stress can cause a delayed period so don't panic or stress.
