Isn't it mostly teenie-boppers that go for less-than masculine entertainers? (I don't mean anythings disparaging by the term). They seem to be oblivious as to what the implications are if their idol is possibly gay, or maybe it's the non-threatening aspect. My stepdaughter's best friend (at 14) was determined to marry David Bowie.
