why r so many people obsessed with american idol. of all the winners the only one worth talking about is carrrie underwood and thats only because shes hot, i've never heard her music

No kidding, The only American Idol that ever got semi big was Kelly Clarkson. My family is obsessed with the show and I cant stand it. It seems like its the same thing year after year. Now other networks are trying to pick it up to with the same show but a different name.

I have no clue. I hate the show. I think its a total waste of time. I really find nothing funny about the auditions either. Half of these people should be humiliated even being on TV, making fools of themselves. I don't watch the show unless Im at someone's house who is obsessed. I think it just gives people something to talk about the next day. Of all the winners, I think they pretty much all suck.

Are you kidding? you only know her cause you think she's hot... she sucked and was sleeping with like half the people on Idol. The only one who really made anything of themselves was Kelly Clarkson. The show is entertaining, because you get to see people who are less attractive and less talented than yourself and then think that you are glad you aren't them. That's pretty much why people watch it... It's a rather mean show.

I hate American Idol, I don't understand why the nation is so obsessed with it. Even my mother, she has to watch it, freaks out if she misses an episode. It's just horrible.

One of the non-winners is about to win an Academy Award. Simon told her she didn't have what it takes. Maybe they need new judges.
