These are pretty easy you should be able to figure them out. I'm not going to give you the answers, but I will give you some help. You won't learn by just getting the answers.

9. To find the area of a circle, it is Pi * r * r (or Pi * r^2)

11. Just put the numbers in and figure it out (multiply before adding)

13. If all sides of the square are equal, then each side would be 7 inches. To find the perimeter, you just add up the length of each side.

14. You do know what parallel lines are, don't you? (parallel lines are 2 lines that run the same way, kind of like railroad tracks)

15. I'm not sure about this one....

17. This one would be in your algebra notes (if you take notes) or right in the beginning of the section in your text book.

18. $2.50 a pound, and you want to get 5 pounds....that one should be easy to figure out....( 5 lbs * $2.50 a pound)

1. Pi x R^ = 3.14 x 9 = 28.26

2. (-4)2 + 8x3 = 16

3. 7" on each side
4 x 7 = 28 square inches

4. Parallel lines never intersect.

5. true. An expression does not contain an equal sign but does contain one or more
terms. For example, either side of the equation ,
5 = 3 + _ , would be an expression.

6.The Pythagorean Theorem. The theorem is as follows:

In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side of a right triangle opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (i.e. the two sides other than the hypotenuse).

7. $2.50 x 5 =$12.50

9. Area of a circle is a = pi * r^2
a = 3.14 * 3^2
a = 3.14 * 9
a = 28.26

11. (-4)*2 + (8*3)
-8 + 24
16

13. p = L + L + W + W
since it is a square, all sides are equal
p = 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 = 28 inches

14. False, how can parellel lines intersect?
15. Can't remember, sorry
17. Pythagorean .... right
18. 2.5 * 5 = 12.5

The answers:
9. B / 18.84
Pi x Diameter = Area of circle

11. 16
x= -4 so..... (-4)2= -8.....then YZ.....8 x 3=24....-8 +24=16

13. C/ 28
Perimeter of square= Add all sides...7+7+7+7=28

14. False
15. False
17.The first blank is "Pythageon" and the second blank is "Right"
18.D/ $12.5 .......$2.5 per lb. x 5lbs.=$12.5
