He was the Son of Mr. John Shakespear, and was Born at Stratford upon Avon, in Warwickshire, in April 1564. Baptised April 26, 1564 – died April 23, 1616

birth date unknown, many people at that time did not know their birth dates. I believe he died in 1616 on his birthday, which I think was the 23rd April - or at least this is what I learnt at school!
