There are times when love is just not enough, if trust and friendship are not there too....

If there is a binding contract such as marriage and neither has broken any of the vows then yes that is enough for them to stay together. However, if one has died or commited an infidelity then that severs the marriage contract. It is completely up to the injured party if he/she wants to continue and try again.
