I have been having my Period twice monthly for a while now, and it's not just spotting. I have really never had a "normal" period my whole life. I had been on depo for a few years and never had my period when I was on depo, and now that I am off of it it's back to being irregular. I don't know if there is something wrong and I should see a doctor or if it's "normal". I did have and abortion over a year ago, I'm concerned that this has something to do with my problems now. please let me know if anyone has experienced this, and please spare me the abortion is murder stuff, I don't need to hear any of that... as if I don't think about it enough. thanks for your help.

You shoudl see a doctor. It could just be your body still adjustign to coming off teh depo. It may also just be what's normal for you now. 28 days is just an average. Once upon a time mine was perfectly normal to coem every 6 weeks(boy, I wish that were STILL true), so that would mean someone else has to be every 2 weeks and still be normal.

First of all "abortion" is not murder. It was your choice. You might need to see a doctor because if you are just spotting, than it might be caused by the abortion. If the Depo helped you than keep taking it, but if it bothers you that much not having a period than go see your doctor or your OBYGN and they will check yha out. I did have the same problem before but that was when I was on birth control, and my doctor took me off because he found out that I was having a allergic reaction to it.

You should definitely seek medical advice. I was on depo for a year and never had a period, then when I got off I started having really heavy periods that would last forever. Ultimately I wound up having to have an emergency D&C and the bleeding did stop.

I have known a few people who have had a very irregular period while on depo. I am not sure if your symptoms are due to that. I suggest you see a doctor, they would know the true cause of your double periods. I hope this helps!

Your periods are most likely still messed up from being on the depo as that can mess your body up for years. I would consider going in to talk to your doctor about your periods though and if you are almost due for your annual pap/pelvic exam you may want to schedule that too at the same time.

Billy Jean, you REALLY need to see a good GYN doctor. You may just need to have your periods regulated or the abortion could have left a portion of the baby in your womb. This will cause bleeding and you REALLY need to get that repaired. A DNC may be required to clean out your womb. I wouldn't delay in getting this checked into. That much blood has to be pulling you down. GET CHECKED, Sugar!!

People that have abortions are more prone to having menstrual irregularites and problems of this nature. It would be in your best interest to see a doctor on the matter, just to make sure everything checks out OK. I'm sure they will perhaps do a pelvic exam, PAP test, and maybe an ultrasound to make sure everything checks out OK.
Take care now.

See a doctor. Stress also causes irregular periods.
