why ONLY sunlight?
why not tubelight? u may think this is silly, but its not
because plants require energy present in the photons, dont they?
so does tubelight doesnot have photons? isnt that white[ all 7 colours in it] ?
please support this statement
do answer this!
thanks very much

Plants can photosynthesize with artificial light as well. Natural sunlight is better, because it provides full spectrum light (all wavelengths), but plants can us artificial light as well.

Plants can use a number of different light sources for photosynthesis. There are plants that are grown in completely artificial settings, with little problem.

One of the reasons that sunlight is the BEST source for plants to photosynthesize is that (as already mentioned) the sun produces multiple wavelengts of light. Plants contain receptors in the chlorophyll that respond to specific wavelengths of light and start a chain reaction of events. If the wavelengths for a particular receptor are not present the plant has to compensate with a different pathway and so it doesn't grow exactly the same way that it would in full sunlight.

well its pretty much interesting & funny...but the real thing is that photosynthesis is a great activity and it needs a lot of energy... , obviously plants get that energy from the sun....!
but why the sun???
hmmmm the simple answer is that sun is the ultimate source of energy...But yah it is totally wrong that photosynthesis only occur in sun light...I mean that photosynthesis also occur in tube light but it is very very low in the tube light, almost negligible.....
thats all what i got to say....thanx
