'J' will be between them most likely.
all airlines configure their planes differently. Call the airline or travel agent. They will know.

Sort of! Seats on a Jumbo are in sets of 3, 5, 3. 'H' is usually one of the aisle seats in the middle set of 5 and K is either the aisle seat of the set of 3 across the aisle, or it's the window seat in that set (depending on the airline). If it is the window the person with the aisle seat might swap if you explain that you want to sit near your travelling companion.

I'm guessing 747 but you need to know what airline.
Then I think you will find this marvellous website VERY helpful....

find out what kind of aircraft you are flying.. i.e. 747, 777.
sounds like they may both be isle seats.
i would call the airline and find out for sure, they can tell you.
