WHY am I 'leaving' and how long will I be gone? As it is 'asked' (stated) there is no 'good answer' because you did not put any 'time limits' or 'distance limits' on your question. If I am simply 'going out for awile' I take my 'wallet' with my ID, the bank card, and some cash, and a coat and hat if it's cold. If I am 'leaving everyone I love for their good,' then I take only the clothes on my back. If there is an 'impending disaster' then I'll take the best 'survival supplies' I can find in a 'limited time.' I doubt that I could 'go anywhere' for longer than a day or two without my husband ... but he is not a 'thing' is he, and you said I must leave my loved ones behind ... so maybe I'd just 'stay at home' and endure, simply because I love my husband MOST, more than I could 'love' any THING and want to take it with me.
