Well like I said, I'm 23 years old right now, and football is my main sport I love to play, I want to play hopefully in the NFL in the future, but as most people know guys at my age are already playing in the NFL, their either rookies, or have one year under their belt. In my case I play highschool ball, but when I graduated I didn't go straight on to college to continue my football career, because of me not being financially stable, and other personal stuff that was going on in my life. Now I just turn 23 years old, and I'm going to play for a JC, then transfer to a university, now with all that said, by the time I'll be eligible for the NFL draft, I'm just estimating my age, I'll be around probably 27 or 28 years old. Is it even still possible for me to still make it, I know about the NFL europe and the arena leagues, I really would like to know, somebody please help me out. I don't know if this matters but my stats are I'm 5"7, 215lbs, runningback, and fullback.

Chris Weinke graduated from Florida St. when he was 28 years old because he played 6 years playing minor league baseball.

Kurt Warner was stocking the shelves of the local grocery store, so it can be done.

You have to want it more than everyone else, and you have to have the work ethic to make it happen

Pierce Holt of the 49'ers did it. Roger Staubach was a 28 year old rookie and Dan Hennings also for the cowboys was a 28 year old rookie. It is not impossible.
Did you get any offers from colleges to play football and could not go or are you just dreaming. NFL Europe and the Arena leagues are not farm systems. Most of these player the NFL did not want for one reason or another Playing in those leagues will not help much.
There is nothing wrong with going to school and maybe get football to pay for it, but you need to ask your self can I make it.
If you can dominate your freshman year and set some records then you have a chance. If not have some fun go to class and hope you get a break. Remember this not many people get to do what they love let alone get pay for it.
You are eligible for the draft now and if some one see you play and they like you you could get drafted or even walk on.
Good luck
PS you will also need speed at least 4.6 , balance and the ability to hit the hole.

You'll know better after you JC season. If you don't get any offers from Div. 1 colleges you probably don't stand much of a chance. If you can do so without losing you college eligibility (which I think you can as long as you pay you own way to the tryouts.) you could look at the arena league but the A-league is mostly about passing not running so you probably won't have a chance to move out of there even if you get in. Not sure how NFL Europe works in terms of undrafted free agents. If the tryouts are in the US you could go for it there as well.

You can make it, but it is a long shot because of your age. But it seems that you do have your plan in the right direction. Realistically you should look at Arena football to get some professional history and get yourself on some tape. From there you can hit NFL try outs and hope to get on a practice squad. The Texans had a running back that played in the last 2 games of the season and he was picked up off the practice squad.

Lastly, it is going to take alot of work and alot of dedication. Be ready for alot of people to tell you that you can't do it. Just keep your eyes on the prize.

It might be possible but I wouldnt put all your money into it. Not to many NFL teams are interested in drafting a 5"7 27 year old running back.

I don't think a any NFL teams would draft a 28 year old rookie. Go for it though, stranger things have happened. Good luck!

NFL is an unattainable dream for you now, if you havent even played college ball yet. You wont even get a tryout offer at 28. Your only possible chance would be areana or NFL europe tryout NOW. No offense, just bein realistic dude.
