I need a topic for an essay?

I am going to be working on a cultural diversity essay and I can't think of a topic. Help!!

There are a couple of options:

-Differences in racism today versus of the past
-The expanding types of acknowledged diversity (heritage, ancestry, sexual orientation, etc...)
-Successful and failed solutions to encourage cultural diversity

Those are just a few ideas I can think of for now... Will add on later if I think of more...

How about the economic impact cultural diversity has in a community? Or how lack of tolerance for cultural diversity can affect a community?

here's a topic: how and to what extent are police officers trained to deal with the cultural diversity they encounter on the job. I know some cities/states train cops specificially with how to interact with gay and lesbians, sometimes they also get introduction to Latino culture, and Asian.

this sort of thing is also big in medical school nowadays--you could do doctors instead of cops....perhaps teachers as well

another topic--"affirmative action" and itts (negative) impact on asians in college admissions--very good article in NY Times Sunday magainze a cpl wks ago. b/c hi percentages of asians get into ivy league on grades/scores alone, when schools try to admit minorities based on their proportions in sociiety, this has the effect of reducing number of asians admited.
