What a wonderful question. I have often thought of that too. I feel so sad at funeral that all that knowledge and life experience is gone. If we could only pass it down to the rest of the family what a beautiful thing that would be. Or would it?? My dad was in WWII and had very bad experiences, do I want to know that. My mom's family lost the farm during the depression, do I want to know what she felt? My grandmother buried three of her children, do I want to know that feeling? Maybe it is a good thing that we only know our lives.

I'm not sure any one really knows the answer but I like to think it is linked with our spirit, how often I pondered something and then it has come to me, how my nan, or mum etc taught me to do something or else did themselves, and somehow I know, almost instinctively. I also like to think that as our spirits are thought to live on, then so does our intelligence. When suddenly we are inspired, I think this could be some of the intelligence floating around that we have absorbed and taken on board. Knowledge we have that we can not explain is often thought to be from a past life, perhaps the knowledge is something that we have just got. Even deja vu, when we have the feeling that what is happening is something we have done, or seen, or have been or have heard before, perhaps this too is a knowledge or intelligence we have absorbed that we have not acknowledged as coming from the universe and atmosphere around us.

If the intelligence did not recorded in a form of audio, or video or written format, then it is gone. Since the "intelligence:" was stored in the biological format in the brain. As a person dies, it start to decompose and disintegrated into food for micros.

When a single person dies there intelligence (physically) dies with them on this earth, but the soul never dies.

You would need more than intelligence to get an answer to this question.
As there is no one able to tell you what, if anything happens after life.

My own dream is that at death I only have thought, I realize that I am nothing, except thought, and eventually I start creating everything with my imagination. This would require the intelligence to continue, but it is my dream, and may not be fact.

i believe that our intelligence thought and feelings is all our soul and we stay on the planet or keep coming back should i say till we have learnt all the important lessons there are in life so that our soul is pure from evil/bad thought and we are wise enough to go on to the highest spiritual plane, that is why people have past lives and why we all make mistakes in life some more than others,so when we are intelligent and pure enough we will go somewhere better and nicer well you have to hope don't you ; )

It would be interesting if someone had their intelligence transfered to a computer before they died.

The comment a little way up: Not everyone is fit to have children. Overpopulation and dumbasses are two of our race's biggest problems at the moment.

The only way is through your children which is why we should all have some.

Otherwise there is nothing, oblivion. Where does a pigeon's intelligence go when IT dies?

Human intelligence is not a thing, it's a process. As such there is nothing to 'go' anywhere.
It's like saying, where does the movement go to when I stop running?

WHEN A PERSON DIES WITH INTELLIGENCE ( IF ANY !!! )
IT GOES WITH THE SOUL. THEY ARE BOTH CONNECTED.
ONE CANNOT EXIST WITH OUT THE OTHER. WHEN THE MIND IS HURT, THE SOUL FEELS IT, AND WHEN THE SOUL IS HURT, THE BODY FELLS IT. ANY WAY THATS HOW I SEE IT.
