Yes, of course you can get it peirced with a gun! I had mine done about 3 years ago, and i got it done with a gun. It hurt just a little, but not too much. And it was so quick, it was over before i knew it! Mine was sore for about 2 weeks after that, but only when i touched it. But make sure not to mess with it, and clean it everyday! If you mess with it alot, or dont clean it..it will get infected and hurt worse than when you got it peirced! Hope I Helped!!

You should ALWAYS get pierced with a hollow needle from a professional. The guns cannot be properly sanitized. Plus, the shock of the gun can shatter the cartilidge and cause pain for the rest of your life. Think of it this way, do you want some punk teenager with a weapon (and minimum wage) going at your ear and possibily giving you an infection or worse, a disease (ie. hepatitis)?!

never get a cartilage peircing with a gun. it generally will get infected. the reason is that the pressure of the gun will rip some top layers of skin and push it into the hole and get caught in the butterfly. because the butterfly does not come out for the first 4 weeks or so, it rots. when you get it done by a body peircer, it is less traumatic to the ear and easier to clean thus reducing chances of infection.

I have two piercings in my cartliage. One was done with a gun and one was done with a needle. I suggest getting it done with the gun. It was quicker and i thought it was a little less painless. The only advantage of using a needle is you can put a ring in right away. With the gun it is usually only a stud that your suppose to keep in for atleast 6 weeks.

You can get it done with the gun. It will hurt either way you get it pierced. (gun or needle). I will say that the gun is faster, but it the gun can get jammed (seen it happen), the needle, it takes longer and well.... its a needle so it hurts.
