My soon to be ex has a lawyer, there is a final hearing scheduled in March. They told me that I need to get my witness list together. I am so scared. I cannot afford a lawyer. State legal aid won't help, I've called everywhere for a pro bono lawyer. I'm at a standstill. I don't know where to go next. It seems like he is just winning at everything. I'm in AZ. ANY help would be appreciated.

I did call the state bar, and all the lawyers there do indeed do pro bono, but they are all court appointed.

I live in the Maricopa county, but my case is in Yavapai. I think both would work.

I agree, call the state bar.
Worse case scenario, have your witnesses ready, and let the judge know your dilemma. If you know who the judge will be prior to the hearing, you might try calling the judge before the hearing.
There are some attorneys who will let you make payments!

Where at in Arizona? Just call around to some attorneys in your area to see if they do pro bono, some do. Do not contact the Judge, they don't like that.
