yeah i think they should receive life in prison. i was abused and it hurts the person not just physically but mentally also. they shouldn't be able to get away with it like so many of them do because they are ruining them emotionally. its still taking me counseling to get over mine and it was 9 years ago. it shouldn't be something that is taken lightly by the courts.

Because child predators have a rate of recidivism much greater than any other subgroup of prison population, it appears highly probable that the best way to protect society from them is by life imprisonment. However, prison as we know it may not be the best facilty for this group as their crime is very much an expression of a mental disorder. Perhaps, they should be incarcerated in something similar to a mental hospital.

If it's a child molester, YES. They should never be allowed to live in society again. Child sex crimes are the worst crimes any human being can commit and they deserve NO mercy. Most of the child molester's go back to molesting children after getting out of prison. My opinion, leave them in jail to rot!

yeah because they are abusers....
They make the life is hard for the child...they will get trauma...
The negative impact will be seen in the life of a child...When they grow up, they will turned into aggression....
Child abusers deserves the punishment, for what they have done to the child whose know they have a great future before this group damage it....

I think pedophiles should go for life, but there are many other circumstances that could be considered child abuse.

I don't believe in mandatory sentencing. The whole reason we have judges is so they can use discretion in certain legal gray areas. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to it for repeat offenders.

No, I believe they deserve the death penalty! They have "MURDERED" the child's childhood! The should be put to death!!

YES! Because if they did it once they will do it again. I think anyone with kids would agree on this.
