I have a brand new Sony Bravia XBR 40" LCD TV, which handles full 1080p with excellent contrast and response time. It is also stylish and very slim.

I don't have a PS3, but I do have an XBox 360 hooked up via component cables and it looks fantastic. HDTV from the cable box looks incredible, too. It comes in 40" and 46" models.

Plasmas are very large, very hot, and often do not have full 1080p. They also suffer from burn-in. I recommend LCD, and the Bravia in particular.

LCD

plasma is going to be phased out in a few years with the boom of LCD TVs and DLP TVs. I have a LCD with 1080p resolution for my PS3 and it looks awesome

Xbox360 may have won the fight PS3 will win the war

Plasma is good but LCD is bad. Remember, LCD is Liquid Crystal Display and if something goes wrong, then you know what I mean. I hope this helps.

Just remember a plasma has only a limited life span and is NOT repairable. Have you considered a DLP?
