Visit the schools, find out which one you like best or which one will best suit the needs of your son. Schools are different for every child. What works well for one child doesn't always work well for another. If someone recommends a school to you, still check it out and make sure it fits your child.

In NC the decrease off date is mid October. And from my information that is going to alter, i don't be attentive to while which would be. i does no longer hassle that your son would be in the back of a year, only that he would be greater mature. i'm a instructor assistant and that i've got been with kindergarten and 1st graders. while kindergartners first start up that's extremely distinctive to them in the event that they have been in preschool or in the event that they have not been everywhere, in the event that they're a youthful 5 year previous it each and every so often takes somewhat longer (gazing the baby) for them to hold close or to get the understanding of issues, the place it takes an older 5 year previous much less time. i might examine inclusive of your community college gadget. i'm not sure approximately inner maximum faculties. i might think of they might maximum possibly be a similar. sturdy success.

Unless you are planning to keep him in the private school and the schools admissions are favorable to returning students, most Kindergartens are very equal. The purpose of Kindergarten is to acclimate the child to groups of children , hone social skills and basic skills such as color, letter, number recognition and beginning reading skills. Be careful of any school who pushes children in kindergarten. While it may sound wonderful that they have " high " standards, they may be putting too much pressure on the child that he or she is not ready for. Your best bet is to ask other parents whom you trust and whose children seem well adjusted to the school setting.

I don't think it matters at that age. I still think that kindergardeners are innocent enough and not a threat. If you want your child in a private school - I'd wait until Jr High. Save your money for when you NEED to put him in a private school for safety.
