There are books that you can get that give you great information on growing mj. The Marijuana Growers Guidebook is a good one.... I suggest you stick to sativa's to start. They require less nutrient regulation, can be grown in any soil, and can withstand heat / cold extremes.

Your first time will probably be unsuccessful, ether no bud or really crappy bud. Take notes on everything that you do. Find books that give you advise. Growing good bud takes allot of practice
