I went to a job interview, sent a thank you letter for the interview; but was rejected for the job. Does any one out there have a sample of a "Thank you for the interview and sorry I didn't get the job" letter?

Looking for employment involves constant forward motion - looking applying, interviewing, looking, etc...a rejection is part of the game - just remember there are many factors involved in choosing an applicant so being rejected doesn't mean anything negative, it just means someone else was more what they were looking for. Now it's time to continue forward motion. A "Thank you for the interview and sorry I didn't get the job" letter is not forward motion and is a waste of time for both you and the recipient.

It doesn't mean that they felt as if you weren't a good worker or even hard worker. It just means at that time, someone else may have met the requirements better. One day you will go to a job, where many are interviewed, you will be accepted, while others continue searching. It just comes down to what the employer is looking for. There may be many qualities they are seeking. Rather it is personality, extrovert, people skills and such. Just keep trying, you will find the joy that is looking for YOU! Goodluck!

A Princess once said, "you will kiss a lot of frogs before you find Prince Charming".

You have done everything that could be expected of you. Unless you want them to keep your resume' on hand for future openings, just drop it and move on. If you do want to be considered, a note to that effect would be appropriate.

Get ready for your next frog, oops I mean interview. Hang in there, there is a Prince Charming out there somewhere with your name in big gold letters written all over it. Good Luck.

Spend your energy and resources getting a job. The people who interviewed you don't care. Let it go, lets go to another interview.
