The angry Black women stereotype that we're all angry, bitter, loud mouth, always wearing fake hair etc... Do you think this is really true about all Black women?

What do you mean you Black females? How can you put us all in the same catagory as some girls in a mall. See this is how stereotypes start, from people making generalization about entire groups people based on the actions of some.

No I don't, because I'm not angry; I'm silly ~ I'm not bitter; I'm a smartass ~ I'm not loud; I'm very quiet ~ I don't wear fake hair; my real hair goes down my back.... Stereotypes are weird, and they don't make sense to reasonable people.

I'm a white girl and I dont believe in any stereotypes. Some black girls I like some I dont. I'm white and I wear fake tan and hair extenesions as do alot of other white women its not a big deal.

iisaeducamacatedblackm... Your just as stupid as some of the black people out there that blame everybody who is white today for slavery. Judging every single person by the actions of a few is truly the high point of stupidity.

I agree witth what you put in the additional info...it's soo ridiculus
and then if you don't wear the ghetto weave and basically if you're not a stereotype people say you're white wwashed....this asian guy called me an oreo....black on the outside white on the inside..0.0 I wanted to rip his head off-actaully I was more hurt(I had a crush on him)...why can't I be myself...I don't wear weave...I don't dress or talk "ghetto" ...so I get hated on by other black girls
and then there are the guys...that think they know everything about you...and decide not to talk to you =\...stereotypes why cant you just let them go

I like japanese anime...and have a collection of shojo beat magazines
I love reading

when people find this out they're like...0.0...and say..."you don't look like you would be into that"
but w.e *sigh* I complain alot lol

um i def dont buy into that because the medias portayals of certain groups in society are hardly ever true...um im mostly black and i probably break almost every stereotype ive heard about black women . steretypes in general are for narrow minded ignorant zombies who need to constantly relate groups of ppl with certain characteristics. im loud this is true but i know a lot of black girls that arent loud. im def. not angry, bitter, etc. and fake hair repulses me except braids which i really dont like too much either unless im sick of straightening my hair every week...lol anyway the media reflects observations in our real life society...so even though stereotypes come from the tiniest bit of truth you can hardly guarantee that a majority of ppl think the same way!

I wouldn't let something like this bother me. Everybody out there doesn't think this way. Ignore the idiots that do. I could see if ever single person that wasn't black thought this way, but that's not true. The sad thing is, it will always be this way. There will be no change as far as this is concerned. These people are close minded and always will be so don't waste your energy on them. I'm a black female and I know I'm not this way. I'm not going to try to prove myself to anybody. I don't owe these people anything, and I'm not going to be bending over backwards to prove my point. A smart human being would be smart enough to think with common sense. These people that think this way obviously are not smart. You have to ignore dummies. With that being said don't let it bother you. I know I don't.

No its all apart of racist propaganda. Black women are the nuturers, the mothers of this planet. We began the world...out of our wombs came many generations. Although they branched off, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Even the whitest white person has african roots. Not all of us wear weaves or extensions and talk in slang. We are not bitter, lamenting and loud. Stereotypes are a universal method of dividing a race of people based on differences. It is nonsense my beautiful black queen... We are strong and independant women that ask for respect and we deserve it. )0(

My experience with Black women has always been of kind and caring. So no I dont belive in stereotypes. I am a Dalite of India and many black women from Britain and America have given up there time to help me highlight the plight faced by people like me (Dalits). Black people have won so many battles in your fight for equality and this sterotyping you speak of is just the latest battle.

Please spare a fought 4 those of us who have not won as much battles as you have. I am a Dalit of India and quite sadly we are often stereotyped far more worse then anything you have named in my country those like me (Dalits) are often reffered to as dirty and in pure in many parts of India we are refered to as Untouchables.

Keep the faith.
Any body with a touch of intelligence knows all people are different some peolple are nasty and hateful some people are not.

I suppose most people in this country believe what they see on TV. They believe the "Real World" is real, they believe Bush is an idiot and a liar, but yet he can cause a hurricane to attack black people, and convince brilliant democrats to vote for the war in Iraq. They believe these things because it's easy, they don't have to think for themselves. They believe that the Duke LaCrosse team is guilty because the media wanted it to be true...like the Tawana Brawley case, because they've been told that White MEN are the evil of the world.

So while you may lament over some of the negative sterotypes the total patronization of blacks in general and women too, makes me not feel too sorry for you. I guess I'll give the black woman some kudos when Affirmative Action ends, and they start facing their own discrepencies instead of blaming white men first, white women second and black men third.

I live up here in the North right next door to New York City and it's not always black women getting upset! Now you take any other nationality of women and let them get pissed off about something and trust me they can get just a loud, arrogant and angry just as fast as black women. Have you ever seen a Hispanic or Italian women get pissed the hell off? Well I have and it's not a pretty sight! Hispanic women will even go as far as pulling a knife on their opponents and Italian women will throw a hot pot of pasta on your @ss quick, fast and in a hurry! Hell even Asian women with their little petite selves can go off the hook! Oh and you white women are not getting off the hook either! You have your days when you feel like killing your husbands and children too. Please don't even act like you're innocent! Do not sleep on these other nationality of women because they can cause a serious @ss beat downs! So it's not just black women who are always fired up. People just tend to look at us more because we bare watching in their minds.
