I am trying to figure out the time difference on an email I got from Singapore. Are they behind in time or ahead of us here in Saskatchewan, Canada

It is 8pm EST Tuesday here in Toronto, it should be 9am Wednesday in Singapore. Saskatchewan being in the Mountain Time Zone is 2 hours behind that of Ontario. Having said that, 6pm Tuesday in SK would be 9am Wednesday in Singapore.
