The meriva has a 53 litre tank, which is approx 11.7 gallon. Fill your petrol tank to the top. Reset the trip and run until the tank is all but empty.

Then simply divide the miles covered by 11.7. This will give you your mpg.

First find out how many litres of fuel your tank holds (Will say some where in the owners manual) reset your trip meter after you fill up next. When you have done that you'll have a mileage and know how many litres you have used. There are roughly 5 Litres to 1 gallon so divide the miles by 5 and that the average MPG for your car.
If you have a bad memory (Like me) Get a receipt as it tells you how many litres of fuel you brought.

:o)

You may need a calculator.

1) Fill the car right up & note the mileage

2) Drive until the fuel gauge reads less than ½ full

3) Fill up again & note how many litres the car takes, subtract the new mileage from the mileage on step one

4) Multiply the second fill up amount in litres by 0.22 to give the amount used in gallons (UK)

5) Divide the mileage by the gallons to give MPG
