Crustacean is a restaurant in Beverly Hills, I've never eaten or been there but always wanted to go. Well, this weekend, I'm planning to take my girlfriend for our 6 years Anniversary. Should this be the restaurant I take her? Or should I take her someplace else?

Crustaceans is very overrated with mediocre food.

Nicer restaurants:

Napa Valley Grille in Westwood
Outstanding seasonal menu
Awesome wine list
Valet parking

Campanile in Los Angeles (Wilshire and LaBrea)
Creative Menu
Beautiful ambiance
Free street parking

The Stinkin Rose on La Cienega and Wilshire
Garlic theme menu
Romantic setting
Onsite parking ($4)

Gourmets tend to dislike Crusteacean -- it's a high-end Vietnamese-influence place. I like the setting (esp. the aquarium that runs through the floor) and the people I've been with have liked it alot, but I know that people who have finely developed taste for food often think it lacking.

A couple of other high-end places nearby that are better include Spago and Mastros (a steakhouse). But if you aren't too picky about food, you might well like Crustacean.

Overrate Beverly Hills eatery!
