I don't see it very much as it actually lives at my parents house, I just give it a bit of water every now and then but a couple of months ago it went really floppy. I gave it water but it hasn't perked up. It has also recently grown four new baby cacti from its base and I don't know if it is just dying so the baby ones can grow. I don't know what to do, please help!

I also been through this matter before. My cacti just floppy and going to die. The cacti leave it children so their family wont end. Water the cacti again but this time make the watering going 2 - 3 times in a week. Plant the new grow cacti into other vase. But becareful, it's fragile. :). This time take care of them very2 well. Love your cacti. Never ever let it away from you.

I don`t know why yours has gone floppy, but, I will tell you that a Cacti needs as much water as any other plant, it is just that it is able to cope with dryer conditions better, if you watered and fed a cactus as much as any other plant you`ll be surprised at the speed it grows.

The cactus is death. meanwhile, re pot specifically cactus soil fron gdn centre, go away it on my own in a sunny spot,do no longer water it until you notice signs and indications of existence, placed the pot in a shower of water so it may take it from below very often times. Sue who ever advised you to maintain it so moist and then pray to St Anthony the buyer saint for lost motives.

you've given it too much water. remember- its a catus- let it dry out. if you haven't damaged its cells it should go back to normal- keep it somewhere warm...
