Tracking devices on mobiles??

I was just wondering if you need the other persons permission and if they can find out they`re being tracked?i`m not a mad stalker or anything but just saw an advertisement about these tracking devices,that you can get on your childs phone to know where they are,it was a reputable company.

Yes, you need permission to track a phone. Apart from minors, it would typically not be given as it would infringe on civil rights.

Of course, the network operator can track any phone if it is switched on. They would only do this for the police with a court order.
