I have a hot water tank (in the airing cupboard), plus two open tanks in the loft with ball valves.

The boiler comes on for 20 seconds and then switches off for 1-2 minutes. I recently re-mounted one of the radiator panels, and bled the system (of air).

check that the ball valve isnt stuck in the up position on the small tank then vent any radiator you choose and the tank will allow as much water as required into the system .Best done with boiler and pump off

You have to bleed the air from this radiator you removed. If you still have a problem , then check that there is water in the small expansion tank in the attic. You only need about 6 to 8 inches of water in this tank.

It could be a massive airlock that will not bleed. The cure is to connect a hose to one of the drain down points and turn the tap on. This should literally force the air out via the roof tank. But don't overflow it!
