Our 18 month old has taken to using our white sofa (cotton, with a mildly rough texture) as a canvas for her emerging art skills with a crayon. Any suggestions on how to clean it off? As pretty as it is, it just does not quite go with the decor :)

This is SURE to work. Scrape excess crayon off with a dull-edge knife or metal spoon. Spray with WD-40 (yes, on your white couch!!) and let stand for a few minutes. With a small, stiff bristle brush, work into the stain and wipe with paper towels. Respray with WD-40 and apply detergent solution to the sprayed area; work in with the brush, and blot. Then rinse out with a wet wash cloth.

cover the spot with a light rag. use a "WARM" (not too hot) iron and let the crayon melt into the rag. DON"T MELT THE COUCH
then put some citrus based solvent spotter on another rag, and blot the spot out. good luck

Remove crayon marks by rubbing gently with baking soda sprinkled on a damp cloth

Use a paper towel and an iron on very low heat. the wax in the crayon will absorb into the paper towel.

Try Folex you can get it at the store or Walmart not to expensive and works wonders. I used it on my carpet before my landlord came to look at the house and the carpet looked bran new like it was just put in. Worked good on my couch too!! Good luck!

Had the same problem with my grandchild scribbling all over my white carpets.
1001 carpet and curtain cleaner got the color off. Vanish spray works too.

Well i could suggest hot...hot water to melt the wax....wipe it then maybe try some bleach on it if its white
