even though i have a diploma high school only and work on the side friends/family say i should further my education for a better life,but i happy as i,am.

Ok. two answers:
1) Real life. With my High School diploma, I made $7/hr. With my 2 year Associates degree, I made $13/hr. With my 4 year degree, I made $25/hr. When I complete my Master's, I will make $35/hr.
2) Education is what makes us able to solve problems, understand laws, and fight for ourselves in society. I can't tell you the number of 'uneducated' people I know who get taken advantage of because they don't know the rules that protect them or how to challenge what's happening to them. The more education you have, the better able you are to protect yourself, make better decisions, and solve your problems.

I agree with them. While you may be "happy" now, someday you may want to support yourself and not be dependent on other people. (which you are if you "work on the side"). Further education will allow you to do this. It may also open your mind to possibilities you can't even conceive of yet. Keep in mind that, even with more education, you can still sponge off others, it just gives you the option to do more.
