I mean, for the most part, I ignore it. But its 2007 people. Don't you think its time to move on? People should only voice racial opinions only when there are facts to back it up, so they won't come across as naive and ignorant.
Whites, The majority of black people do NOT believe the white race owes us anything. I can understand why some of you would think that, but then again i cannot at the same time. Dont go by what you hear Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson sprewing. Dont go by what you see and hear on the news everyday, or by what you see on the magazines or TV. Remember, your divinity lies within. Gain knowledge by doing thorough research on the matter yourself. Not other peoples claims.
Blacks, we must realize that the only way to end racist views of us is to do just that. END IT. Its good to remember your past, but dont dwell on it. Dwelling on the past is futile. Put aside the injustices of the past and instead focus on injustices we have today.

and yes, i do believe that it is unfair for whites not to have a white history month. but then again, life is not fair. get used to it, just like i must get used to the fact that i cannot walk into a store without someone thinking im going to steal something because of the urban clothing i wear. Dont blame the way i dress. everyone dresses up a certain way to convey an image. "A person dresses up in a suit and tie to convey an image, and i dress the way i do to convey an image." Marilyn Manson (the shock rocker) himself said that.

All in all people, educate yourself as i have done, and move on.

I agree with what you have stated there.
I think the media has a lot to do with the continuence of racism in some aspects. One recent example being in the sports world. Just look at the Super Bowl. Two black head coaches making it to the big game for the first time. Yes, it is a great accomplishment but, does that need to be the underlying story behing the actual game? It just destroys our ability to try and be "color blind." Mention it, great! Keep driving it on and on, then it gets old.

Another case was the fight with Carmello Anthony. If that was a fight among white guys, the story would not have been such a big deal. They see black guys fighting and instantly the NBA becomes a stereotype for being "thugish." I don't see anyone complaining about hockey players beating each other down. Yes, fights are legal in hockey but, seriously, is there any difference?

Until the media quits cramming racism down our throats through propaganda, racism will continue to thrive. It will always exist either way, but not to the extent it does now.

Yes and they seem to get stupider! Like this one girl who asked bout fat black women, I had to check her!! Few weeks ago I got tired of seeing hate on here and I posted a question " I love black people." One of the kkk dudes reported mine and it got deleted, when they posted one "I love white people, is that wrong" as a come back for me, that question got to stay!!! They kept calling me a mudshark(wtf?), one PMed me calling me a disgrace to my parents and race, I sent him one back to shut him up, it was nasty~dirty, but....well I'll have to tell you away from here. I answer alot of racism questions on here cause they get on my nerves cause they hate to see a white girl take up and show love for black people!

No, I think there are the same amount as normal. Just my opinion, I wish there were not any, but there is nothing you or I can do about it.
