I want to know if there is a specialized field in Economics that deals with complimentary relationships. If so, what is it called and what do these people do for a living?

It's called Econometrics, I know I am a Econ. Major. Basically they specialize in anything that can be made into a regression. A regression is the professional term for "complimentary relationships" as you put it. They can be hired to study and type of relationship. The one your probably more familiar with is the pizza industry. Take for example if their was an increase in demand for the number of pizza's, they would also be a complementary increase in the demand for tomato sauce, bread, and most importantly workers.
