You know, that's an interesting question I use to ask myself all the time. What will people think of me, or what will they say? Don't worry about it. You have just as much right to buy lingerie as a women does. You have just as much right as anyone to buy what you so choose. People are always going to think things, or once in awhile they might even say something. Let it go. Fist of all, if the lady behind the counter says anything remotely close to being mean or making you feel uncomfortable they can get in allot of trouble, so chances are they won't. I'm also into cross-dressing and shop now for myself all the time. And something I have learned is that the more comfortable you are with doing it the less people look at you weird. It's when your not confident in yourself that people look at you funny or think weird things or even might say something weird. But when your confident and just do it like it was a regular routine then you will be fine. You would be surprised at how many men shop for them selves in the lingerie department. Let alone the guys that do it for there wives or g/f's or even b/f's. I am married myself and so the ring on my finger I think helps a bit when people see it, they may think I am just buying for my wife. Try finding a ring that looks like a marriage ring and slip it on your finger if your not married. It might help. One thing to remember though is that your a person like everyone else and you have just as much right as anyone else to buy what you so wish too. Lingerie, panties, pantyhose, there all articles of clothing and if wearing them makes you feel different or you just like it then go for it. Just don't look all nervous and you will do just fine. Like I said I do it all the time for myself. I never think twice about who is looking or not and I am confident. Never had any problems. Hope this helped you out. Take care.

Don't worry about it. Most of the clerks just want to make a sale and could care less who is buying. Before I transitioned, I used to go into women's stores and clothing sections and I would never get treated badly. The one time a saleswoman asked me who I was buying for, I told her for myself. She was more than helpful from then on. If you want to use the dressing rooms, just ask very politely if you may, some stores will (as long as there are no women in them) and some won't. Some of the stores that won't will let you try them on in a back room. Hope this helps.

Don't invite akward questions by talking about it. I'm genderqueer and shop on the women's half of the store more often. I don't say anything and the clerks don't say anything. I just get treated like any other customer. The worst I get is the clerk making sure I know what department I'm in. Once I assure them that I am in the right department there isn't another word said about it.

Most of the clerks truly don't care who you are buying it for. As long as you don't expect to be allowed to use one of the dressing rooms and try on the clothes, you should be okay. If you are still nervous and worried it would be good to know your sizes before you go into the store that way you won't be as flustered and can avoid having the embarrassment of explaining that you are buying it for yourself.

If you don't like to do it, don't do it. Make like a guy buying for his wife or girlfriend, do it online, but if you are uncomfortable doing it--don't.
