Comments on the new Vista are negative towards the new Vista...calling it a nightmare, terrible for networking, full of bugs yet.
Any one try it?

Some of the criticism about XP have been it's security vulnerabilities and some susceptibilities to malware and viruses, sure Service Pack 2 patched many holes but Vista takes security to the next level. The product has been the company's most lengthy OS development - getting it as good as possible. Yes it's has critics but also has a ton of new features. IE7 on XP is fine but runs even better on Vista. It's parental security and site filtering is much improved. Many will keep XP on their current computers rather than pay the cost for the upgrade but sooner or later when purchasing a new computer the OS will be Vista.

Not really. Just a bit different not much and has a few good points. However, neither the expense nor the trouble of the switch to something new are currently worth it. I will wait till all the bugs are ironed out- a year or two- and by then inevitably with all new PC being sold with Vista, I will yield and switch.
The more I think about it, I think I will go iMac.
