I am 36 weeks pregnant and have been having a severe pain right under my right rib. I assumed this was just my baby's foot or something but my Dr. said my symptoms sound like something is wrong with my gall bladdar. I am scheduled for an ultrasound on Thursday morning but I was just wondering if anyone out there had heard of a condition like this or knows anything about it. I don't want to worry about this but the pain keeps getting worse. I also had someone tell me they may need to remove my gall bladdar while I am still pregnant, depending on the severity of my condition. Any info that anyone has would be greatly appreciated...

I am a general surgeon's assistant. If it truly is your gallbladder, the ultrasound will show the stones easily. A surgeon would most likely tell you to hold out til you deliver your baby; then schedule the surgery if you're still symptomatic. In some instances we have performed surgery on pregnant women for their gallbladders, however, they were earlier in their pregnancies I believe. All in all, try to stay away from greasy, fried foods; gravies; spicy foods. And eat smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. Good luck; hope you're feeling better soon!

You are 36 weeks I really doubt your gall bladder will have to be removed before having your baby. Just watch your diet and try not to eat fatty greasy foods. You should be fine until the baby is born.
