First rule of enjoyable sex: Never do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Let's address this point by point.

1. The pain you were in was probably because you were unable to relax or become arounsed during sex. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of or the feeling of a particular sex act (like sexual intercourse during menses), it's going to be hard to get into the mood, and it's going to be hard for your vagina to lubricate or expand.

2. When you have sex (especially during orgasm), your uterus will contract in a wave-like motion. This can cause more-than-expected amounts of mentrual blood to be expelled from the uterus. Think of an upside-down plastic ketchup bottle. If you squeeze the bottle, ketchup comes out. Same idea with your uterus. So if you squeeze out extra blood, it looks like your period got worse. Actually, it was only speeding up the expulsion of the menstrual blood (did your period seem shorter by any chance?).

3. Lots of GIRLS enjoy sex during menses. It's not just guys. Orgasms can help relieve cramps. And many folks find that menstrual blood keeps the vagina slippery, so drying out isn't as much of an issue. Some people simply aren't bothered by the mess, they just put down a dark towel and then go shower afterwards. They are okay with it.

4. If YOU think it's disgusting, you are perfectly entitled to those feelings (as long as you don't bash on other people for disagreeing with you). Sex during menstruation isn't neat and tidy. If it bothers you and makes you feel really bad, then in the future, refuse to have sex during your period. A good partner will understand your concerns (conversely, total ******* will keep bugging you to do it, and those are the ones you need to dump!).

Anyway, the major lesson here is, if you keep having sex that makes you feel dirty or disgusting later, you are going to scar yourself psychologically and/or emotionally. You could wind up with a negative attitude towards sex, and you'll have a very difficult time enjoying a healthy sex life.

not to be gross but a good orgasm can actually help with the cramps. and no it's not disturbing. some people are more comfortable with that than others.....usually the guy for obvious reasons. you sound like you are feeling guilty about it....don't....you aren't the only one who has given it up at that time of the month for your man,.
