what can i do to remove odors from my living room carpet?

Arm and Hammer Pet Deodorizer. It's about $2 at Wal Mart. You sprinkle it on the carpet, let it sit for 15 min. and then vacuum it up, smells wonderful. And cheap too. If you like, after you sprinkle it on the carpet, gently rub it in with your hand and then let it sit.

You can either buy one of those carpet sprays that you spray and the foam soaks up all the dirt. Or you can use baking soda then vacuum it up. Both work really well. I recommend the spray because it leaves a fresh fragrance behind.
