Nothing is good or bad by itself. Goodness or badness is in the mind of the user.

People say that TV is bad, but why can't a child after a certain age, think for him- or herself? They should know not to emulate the rappers or any other celeb other than for ex., Oprah, Maya Angello, Bill Cosby, Sidney Poitier or Mary Tyler Moore for ex, but they chose to be like the Simpson Sisters, the Olsen Sisters, Nichole Richie and the Hilton Sisters.
I am mystified. Why not get an education, stay off the drugs, off of jail and make Mom & Dad proud? I guess that it's just me. I like that at age 38, I don't have so much as even a In-School Suspension record let alone a jail one.

You cannot classify television as either good or bad. We tend to look at things in black or white. There can be grey areas as well. What about channels like national geographic, discovery, animal planet, history channel, australia network and news channels that provide u with a lot of current news and list of events? Aren't all these channels educational channels?
On the other hand, there are channels like music channels or movie channels that show a lot of violence etc. that can be avoided with the help of parental discretion. Parents should intervene and help the child choose the kind of channels they should be watching.

no TV is not bad for childerens in some ways coz TV have many of informative Channals Like NATIONAL GEORAPHIC, DISCOVERY, Sports, NEWS CHANNELS and other informatic channels but ya Like English Channels there r Many Violance that a child should not see And Wresling boxing type of things also can not be seen by the Childerens that can effect childs nature other if in informative sence it is good to see TV And Offcourse Infoemative Channels are providing Informations and if he she sees other channels like HBO, STAR MOVIES , STAR WORLD, MM, [V], MTV, And other in which TV channels shows Nudidity that will also increase their knowlege but in wrong way
so that is wrong but informative Channels are righr for Childerens

i think that the tv provides both good and bad... it can be very informational and educational for children, but it can be harmful aswell with all the vilence and drugs... it is the job of the parents to monitor and see over what their children are viewing on the tv.
