We had pretty bad frost in northern CA this year and sadly our lemon tree was damaged by the cold weather as well as the fruits. I took some of the fruits off but the tree looks pretty bad too. I was wondering if its still too early to cut the tree back in order for it to start growing again as soon as the season starts for these trees.

The advice I hear is to leave the old foliage in place until after all danger of freezing temperatures is over. The dead stuff helps protect the portions of the pant.
