I'm looking to spend under $700. I live in a small town but am willing to travel to buy a decent computer. I will mainly need it for internet access and possible online gaming. If you can give me some suggestions of what brands to buy (or avoid for that matter) and where to go for the best bang for my buck... that would be highly appreciated.

eMachines T5048 Minitower
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 524, 3.06GHz, with Hyper-Threading Technology, 512MB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, 16X DVD+/-RW Drive, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

I personally have a emachine, and they have gained alot of reputation recently for being a generic computer with high end hardware installed on them, the above is only $400 !..i have a cheaper emcahine then that and i can run World of Warcraft perfectly...good luck

Edit: The only thing I would reccommend upgrading if you do decede to play games like WoW is adding an additonal 512mb ram to the computer, which is cheap...
