Most folks know it's sleazy to pretend love. You probably said you love her for what seemed a good reason. Sex can seem a good reason, and some guys also say they love a woman to protect her feelings, but it's always a momentary lapse.
Love has many aspects (nurturing, intimacy, companionship, chemistry, trust, respect, acceptance, shared interests, shared values). Consider those, one by one, in your relationship with her. You'll see that in a few ways you *do* love her.
So next time you're face-to-face with her, and you won't be interrupted awhile, tell her so. But then tell her that you don't really love her enough to continue. Just as important, tell her why you said it in the first place.
