Not all viruses are detrimental to the health of your system. It just goes about it's happy life in your computer and you may never know it.

How a computer works with a virus really depends on the virus and it's function. You may have a virus known to cause problems with a program that you don't have. So you'll never know the virus is there unless an anti-virus program catches it.

It depends on the virus, for the most part it runs like it always did. A virus is a program just like Word or Calculator, except it is designed to be malicious and spread itself. It also does not have any windows or other visible components so you can't 'see' the virus doing anything.

TOTALLY FINE SINCE MY COMPUTER HAS AT LEAST 3 PARTITIONS(3 DRIVES C:,D:, and E:) THAT I CREATED THROUGH THE CONTROL PANEL so when i download some music or movies and accedently download a virus that i can't remove with a virus protection program i just format that drive in particular instead of formating my windows again and again just go to the following website and see for yourself http://computersguide.blogspot.com/index.html

Well, it depends on the virus. Different viruses do some very different things- some are annoying faults, others a system-crippling flaws. You might have a slow machine, or you might have valuable files corrupted beyond repair- as I said, it depends on the virus.

There are many different levels when it comes to viruses. I have one on my computer that only sets my clock back 3 hours about once a week. It's always 3 hours only, no minutes but they can go all the way up to your PC not working at all.

Mine disabled Windows. The directory listed the files, but after each file name it said "stoned." Had to take my PC in for a complete cleaning and reinstallation.

I got it by taking work home from the office, where others used the computer after I left for the day.

Usually you will see weird background services running by hitting ALT+CTRL+Del. Also your computer will start up slow and act slow. Sometimes it will freeze, or freeze when shutting down. That are many different symptoms when you have a virus, trojan or spyware.

very slow and erratic!

first google "micro trend", its a free ONLINE virus scanner named *housecall*. run that on ur machine.

google AVAST and AVG. download and install either one. they are both well know anti-virus FREE software.

google spywareguard. downloadn and install. this is a anti-spyware software

these will catch almost all of ur virus/spyware issues (there is none that is 100%)
