My Tamigochi is now thirteen years old, and it's starting to hang out with those Pokemon Gold types. I don't think I like the look of them (I hear they have ties with the Bey-Blade Gang). What should I do to dissuade him from hanging out with badly conceived, poorly animated cartoon characters?

I would get involved with activities away from those guys. Camping, hiking, horseback riding or just having a lot of fun to take the limelight off from those crazies. The family that rides horses together sticks together especially if they do the mucking together. Good luck Mmm

Sounds to me like your mind is made up.
It also sounds like you have some poor technology in your hands that may need an upgrade. Since Tami is 13, perhaps a more safisticated program is in order.
Remember: you are the one that needs to change to suit the current situation. Not 1 solution is designed to fit all.
Don't blame yourself! Its not your fault. Just switch to something better and I'm sure everyone will be happier. Try it and see!

Well, you are right to worry. But the little fella is growing up and needs to experience some things for himself. Try to lead him in the right direction, and be glad he isnt reverting to hanging out with the old timers, like GI jo and batman. THEY were so uninspiring! Buy him a fly pen to hang out with, or perhaps an IQUEST, since they are educational. Give him a little room to grow! So nice to see a concerned parent, pat yourself on the back!......or better yet, tickle elmo!

omg... you've been playing with a tamagotchi for 13 years... wow... you must be like 23 now... that's my age... ok... but let's get back to the subject at hand... you should bring him over to polly pockets house, i'm sure there are lots of nice wholesome activities he could partake in over there that would keep him away from the crudely drawn cartoon characters...

start inviting them all over to your house and act like you want your tamigochi to hang out with them...
if you try to dissuade your little dude from hanging out with the badly conceived, poorly animated characters... he will surely do just the opposite... remember when you were a teen?

1) I think you should move to a nice Yugi Oh! community.
2) Remind him that he is an example to little Pikachu and Bulbasaur (sp)
3) Encourage Tami to make new freinds and invite them over to hang out at your house so you can get to know his friends.
4) If that doesn't work, threaten him with a blue eyes white dragon. That'll scare him straight.

I can relate to this problem.. my cute little neo-pets recently started associating with some of those nasty Liqui-Freaks. Just scandalous. You must sever all contact between them! It will require some tough love on your part. You have to be firm but gentle, tell them it's for their own good and that they will thank you for it one day.

just sit down and talk to him let him get out and just experience hanging with(real characters) and if that dosn't work than just except the things that he likes sooner or later he'll break out of this childish stage and i'm 13 myself i'm not a mother i just know from experience bye bye
